Thus did she vie successfully for the leadership of the Limsa Lominsa, binding the loose confederacy of nations together and founding the Maelstrom, taking upon herself a central authority that the city-state had not seen for all of its history, that they might bring peace to Eorzea and better stand against the threat of Garlemald. Within a few years the new captain had proven herself a pirate of surpassing skill, navigating new, safer routes to the New World and personally sinking immense fleets dispatched by the brutal nations of the northern seas. She met him on an abandoned island for a duel, wielding the pistols of the legendary pirate Mistbeard, named Annihilator and Death Penalty, and slew him with the latter gun. Ever a patriot of Limsa Lominsa, Merlwyb had served in the League with distinction until it came to light that her father, and captain, had colluded with the Sahagin, mortal enemies of the people of Vylbrand. Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn – Chief Admiral of Limsa LominsaĪdmiral Bloefhiswyn is the child of pirate legend, born to the infamous Captain Bloefhis Bloefhisyn of the League of Lost Bastards. Kan-E of the Senna family is a padjal of immense power and wisdom who leads the Seedseer Council, the presiding body of her forested home.
